Solar Panel Cleaning
Why panels should be cleaned?
Combats agricultural soiling – Farming dust is different from regular dust. It is heavy and fine. This leads to soiling and can cause a 15–30% drop in energy production.
Rain cannot wash away baked-on crust – When dust mixes with fine dew and bakes onto the panel during the day, it forms a stubborn cement-like residue. Rain simply flows over it instead of washing it away.
Pollen and sticky organic matter – Sticky residue acts like glue, trapping pollen and dust on the panel surface.
Protects your ROI – If a 10 kW system is operating at 20% reduced output, you could be losing hundreds of dollars in electricity production every year.
Prevents permanent hotspot damage – When dust bakes onto a panel, it covers individual cells, causing them to stop producing power. Over time, this can cause the affected cells to overheat and create permanent hotspots in the panel.
